Major Academic Events: Bhatt started his university education at Baroda College but finished his degree at the City University of New York. He then went on to work for Intel, where he has helped grow the company to what it is today.
Main Contributions: Bhatt is known as the inventor of the Universal Serial Bus, aka the USB. Before he created the USB, different manufactures used different ports, making the process of connecting devices unnecessarily difficult for users. He created the USB to make it easier to connect outside hardware, like printers and moniters, to personal computers (PCs).
Awards: In 2013, Bhatt won the European Inventor Award in honor of the invention of the USB.
